In this immediate case, Grand Traverse County attempted to repudiate and unilaterally modify collective bargaining agreements in place between POAM, COAM and TPOAM. The County notified affected employees that they were dismissing current contract language that called for a 6% employee contribution to their health care plan and relying on a P.A. 152 to increase the premium share to 20%.
